| The artist during a visit her future home/studio at Kalapa Estate, Hawaii in September 1999. Kalapa Estate is on the windward side of the Big Island (on a clear day one could see Maui). It is 16 miles from Waimea, an hour from Hilo and 1 hour 30 minutes from Kailua-Kona. Darlene's studio will be relocating to Kalapa Estate in 2010 onto this five acres lot over looking the Pacific Ocean.
